Seakeeper Ride is underway stabilization. Transom-mounted rotary blade controllers read the boat's motion and make continuous corrections below the waterline, cutting pitch, roll, and yaw while you're running. The result is a boat that stays level through a head sea, tracks straighter in a following sea, and lands soft instead of slamming.

Seakeeper Ride is a Vessel Attitude Control System, a category derived from the attitude control systems used on aircraft and spacecraft. Two controllers mount to the transom below the waterline. An inertial sensor tracks the boat's attitude in real time, and the blades deploy and retract automatically to apply corrective lifting force.
Seakeeper reports that Ride eliminates up to 70% of underway pitch and roll. In practical terms:
Important distinction: Seakeeper Ride works underway only. It does not stabilize the boat at anchor or drifting. That's the job of a Seakeeper gyro. If you're deciding between the two, the question is where you feel the motion most, running offshore or sitting on a wreck.

Standard configuration is two controllers per system. Power draw is modest, typically single-digit amps at cruise on 12V or 24V.

Seakeeper Ride is built for planing monohulls with outboard or sterndrive power, in the 19 to 55 foot range, with a NMEA 2000 network on board. Center consoles, walkarounds, express boats, and smaller sportfish are the sweet spot.

New builds and repowers. When Ride is planned into the build, mounting, wiring, and network integration get designed alongside the rest of the electronics package. If we're already handling your new install, Ride folds into the same scope with no duplicated labor.
Refits. Most Ride installs are retrofits on boats that were never built for stabilization. The boat comes out of the water, controllers are mounted and sealed to the transom, power is run, and the system is tied into the NMEA 2000 network and your Garmin or Furuno displays. Ride is a mechanical system operating below the waterline, which means it needs occasional attention. We handle blade inspection and replacement, seal and actuator service, firmware updates, network troubleshooting, and diagnostics on systems that aren't performing the way they should. If your Ride was installed elsewhere, we'll still service it.

Does Seakeeper Ride work at anchor?
No. Ride is an underway system. It reduces pitch, roll, and yaw while the boat is moving. Stabilization at rest requires a gyro-based system.
What size boat do I need for Seakeeper Ride?
Ride covers vessels from roughly 19 to 55 feet across five system sizes. We'll match the model to your hull, displacement, and power package.
Can Seakeeper Ride be added to a boat I already own?
Yes. Most Ride installations are refits. The main requirements are a planing monohull with outboard or sterndrive power, adequate transom mounting area, and a NMEA 2000 network on board.
Do I keep my trim tabs?
On most installs, no. Ride handles list correction and bow attitude, so tabs are typically removed and the mounting holes faired during installation. We'll confirm during the vessel assessment.
Do I need a specific chartplotter to run it?
Ride connects over NMEA 2000 and integrates with compatible Garmin, Furuno, and other multifunction displays. A dedicated Ride keypad is also installed at the helm.
Does the boat have to be hauled?
Yes. The controllers mount below the waterline, so Ride installations require a haul-out. We coordinate with your yard and provide a schedule with your quote.
